We are newbies experimenting with photography. We choose a theme and shoot that theme for a couple of weeks or so.
Originally our rule was that we could not manipulate our photos using software, apart from cropping and altering the orientation and using any in-camera effects that our cameras will allow. However, now we are experimenting with Photoshop also.

'Close Ups' by Kiki
For this challenge I drove out to the Sulpture Park and wandered around for an hour or so. The poppy pics were taken at Hamilton gardens and the grapefruit shot was taken at home. It tasted nice too.
Gee Kiki these are all very nice indeed. Neat how our different topics can bring out such different looks. If I do have to choose a favourite or two I will go with the grapefruit and the cactus. I like the orange and blue and the cropping on the grapefruit shot and I like the sharp (haha) foreground focus and the out of focus 'background' of the cactus. Actually I also like the fish-eye type of look on #2 with the seed pods. I'll try to get mine up tomorrow.
My fav one is the cactus. Enjoyed taking these shots but some are not really close ups. Just nice photos, quite good for me. Looking forward to seeing your photos waiting.....waiting.....waiting.. ha ha Can't wait to start on next topic.
