We are newbies experimenting with photography. We choose a theme and shoot that theme for a couple of weeks or so.
Originally our rule was that we could not manipulate our photos using software, apart from cropping and altering the orientation and using any in-camera effects that our cameras will allow. However, now we are experimenting with Photoshop also.
Tried to rework these photos. I spent lot of time on the seagull. I like the sky but I don't like the bird. My layer manipulation skills are too basic at present and my bird-edges are hideous. I do like how the rocks shot turned out. Nice colour and framing I reckon.
I've adjusted tone, brighness and vibrancy on all of them. On the bird shot I tried to adjust the bird differently from the sky but it made the bird look sharp-edged and glued in. Part of the learning process.
They look so different and just so much better than mine. Are you gonna post some photos you took. Love what you did with the colours on the wave shot. But you forgot to put in the sun!!

ReplyDeleteThey're your photos! Don't you recognize them? I put them in the same order as in your post for comparison.
